No need to apologize! It’s a good question!
And in case there’s anyone else wondering this, I’ll lay out the directions here (and maybe put them in the sidebar for future reference):
- Think of something clever and relevant. Possibly the hardest part of the process.
- Click the Template link in the sidebar.
- If you’d like to edit the base in an image editor, right-click and Save As, then edit to your own taste. Skip to step 6.
- Otherwise, click Caption Image under the base image. Enter your witty caption, and click Create.
- If you’d prefer your submission to remain anonymous, you can stop here. It’s fine! I’m shy, too. And the Template gets checked regularly for good entries, though there might be a bit of a delay before yours pops up. But if you’re brave enough to attach your name to your submission…
- Submit it! I like to reward people for their courage, so I push these entries to the top of the queue. (If you submit multiple at once, though, I try to put a few others between your entries, just to avoid anyone monopolizing the meme.)
